Chapter Highlight: Once a Brother Always a Brother

Recruitment went well for us. We acquired a solid group of new brothers. Two of our new members have been elected to chair positions already. This shows how dedicated they are to our chapter. Their willingness to get involved is remarkable. As a whole our new members are always willing to contribute in order to see a positive outcome in the chapter.

Our biggest philanthropy this year was Angry Bros. We used a three person sling shot to launch water balloons at our brothers. People would pay $1.00 for one balloon, or $3.00 for five balloons. All of our proceeds went to the Humane Society of Wood County. For Homecoming, we hosted a tailgate with our alumni. We had our own food truck there to cater the event. During this time we also accumulated more alumni support for our new house on campus. In fact one of our alumnus, Kevin Grippi '88, took it upon himself to reach out to distant brothers and obtain donations for the chapter house.

Yes our chapter had a few national conventions. The first convention was Province, hosted at Kent State University. Several local chapters of Sigma Alpha Epsilon came together and discussed current events going on within their schools and chapters. Together we sought to find solutions in our problems. The other convention was the Devotie Ritual institute in Chicago Illinois. We sent two of our brothers to this event to learn more ritual and hone their skills in the practice. Another event that took place in Chicago was the Eminent Archon Institute. This convention saw the gathering of every single SAE's chapter President. Here we learned how to effectively lead our chapters on campus and be better role models for our brothers.

Sigma Alpha Epsilon has a rich history as a fraternity. SAE is the nation's largest fraternity, with over 304,000 members. Sigma Alpha Epsilon is one of the few Greek organizations that has done away with pledging. When you join our esteemed brotherhood, you are recognized as a full member. We pride ourselves on shaping True Gentlemen as defined in our creed. Our core values are important to us and we strive to emulate them each day. Those values being, Honor, Loyalty, Friendship, and Fraternity. Once a Brother, Always a Brother
